Roles and Responsibility Network Engineer (CCNP) Project Overview

This role is focused on the comprehensive network setup of two factory sites, including their integrated warehouses, located in Bangalore and Hosur, India. The overall project duration is expected to be two years and the stated Cisco device quantities are approximate, based on initial design and procurement.

Bangalore Factory

• New production zones and warehouse Cisco LAN and WLAN setup:
• 18 Core Switches
• 71 Access switches
• 286 AP
• Post wireless survey, onsite, using Ekahau and generate wireless validation report
• New production lines movement requiring new VLANs and segmentations, with UAT
• Case by case (physical or logical change) based on business port needs
• Transformation of old factories as production lines are moved to the new factory
  

Hosur Factory

• New factory setup and its Cisco network infrastructure
• SDWAN test & turn up with the ISP
• SDWAN LAN migration
• LAN and WLAN installation
• 2 Core Switches
• 45 Access Switches
• 6 Server Switches
• 121 AP
• 2 WLC
• Post wireless survey, onsite, using Ekahau and generate wireless validation report
• New production lines movement requiring new VLANs and segmentations, with UAT
• Case by case (physical or logical change) based on business port needs

Responsibility

• Deploy functional networks (SDWAN, LAN, and WLAN)
• Configure and install network devices and other related devices
• Provide operation support to ensure fixes/workaround are deployed with minimal disruption to the production
• Work along with other teams and vendors to resolve network related issues
• Work on monitoring tools to create and generate reports
• Support and implement software upgrades, patches and hot fixes
• Maintain complete technical documentation
  
  

Technical competencies required

• Min 10 years of network engineer experience
• Possesses valid CCNP and above certification
• Administrative certification of firewall (Palo Alto)
• Strong troubleshooting skills routing and switching
• Meticulous documentation (Visio, Excel)
• Enterprise network technologies: LAN, Wireless LAN, DNS, DHCP
• CCNP and above
• Experienced with Cisco Catalyst Center
• Experienced with Ekahau for wireless predictive reports and validations
