Network Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

While most roles focus on maintaining a single stack, we're looking for someone to optimize multiple stacks without disruption. We strategically consolidate databases to maximize cost efficiency and management across our portfolio. You'll be responsible for everything from infrastructure migrations to AI-driven automation, performance tuning, database migration, and cost optimization. Your role includes diagnosing issues, executing seamless cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and automating significant portions of your tasks using AI/ML workflows. You'll have the autonomy to make infrastructure decisions without waiting for approvals from those unfamiliar with the technical intricacies.

What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrating complex infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy setups to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift transitions
• Crafting and deploying comprehensive monitoring strategies and developing automations for monitoring, software deployments, and operational workflows
• Overseeing system monitoring, executing system backups, managing incident responses, performing database migrations and configurations, and optimizing costs

Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by implementing robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (as this is our primary platform - experience with other clouds is insufficient)
• Proficient programming skills in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tools
• Experience in managing and migrating production databases across various engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Advanced proficiency in Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Expertise in Linux systems administration

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
