Job DescriptionAs a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.
Preferred Qualifications – An OCI Administrator is expected to possess strong infrastructure and consulting skills and contribute to the physical/logical infrastructure architecture design, review and implementation of Projects.
This job requires the ability to work in a flexible schedule up to midnight India time to overlap with the US Cloud Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Design/Develop & Implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) per end-user requirement/specs.
- Architect, design, implement, and operate robust and scalable services for OKE and Kubernetes on OCI, focusing on high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Own and drive technical strategy and roadmaps for new and existing Kubernetes features, deep OCI integrations, and cloud-native automation tooling.
- Lead complex design reviews, identify and mitigate deep technical risks, and set the engineering quality bar for your team and organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with security, operations, product management, and customer teams—often influencing outcomes beyond your immediate team.
- Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on technical leadership.
- Develop tooling, automation, and monitoring to improve operational excellence, reduce toil, and accelerate safe delivery of new features.
- Participate in customer engagements as a subject matter expert, helping solve their toughest container-platform challenges.
- Automate common infrastructure tasks / customer requests by using Python, shell scripting or other cloud tooling.
- Provide architectural oversight & support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations on/to Oracle cloud infrastructure.
- Effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams
- Mentor junior IaaS resources to expand the team's capacity and establish consistency among delivery consultants
- Identify and quickly escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources, or anything else that impacts your ability to deliver according to expectations.

- Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and Networking challenges.
- Create and deliver best practices recommendations and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders
:
- 5+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering, and consulting in cloud computing, with increasing responsibilities, and with a special focus on infrastructure design and automation from the networking layer up.
- Hands on skills with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or solutions from other providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud etc. would be of required, especially with PaaS and IaaS.
- Ability to create, update, understand architecture diagrams based on end-user specs & implement the same.
- Experience in Linux & Windows administration.
- Experience in provisioning and support of network and security appliances.
- In depth knowledge of various cloud & on-premise infrastructure components & networking.
- Good understanding of general storage technologies, implementation methods and techniques.
- Good understanding of IaaS Compute and operating systems, and compute migration methodologies and implementation techniques.
- Working knowledge of Database.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
- Strong consulting skills to work in a professional manner with customer IT and business users

- Experience in designing & implementing complex Hybrid Architectures that span across on-Prem, and Cloud (including multi-cloud)
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible and other cloud provisioning & tooling.
- Knowledge and understanding of DevOps and cloud computing with hands-on experience in many of the following technologies: GIT, Terraform / Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience in integrating Clouds with third-party tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Sumo Logic, Datadog, Grafana etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
- Experience with implementations with Cloud Security (Oracle Data Safe, WAF) & code security etc.
- Experience migrating workloads from on-premises into Cloud, or between Clouds.
- Strong knowledge of networking that includes Software Defined Networks in cloud environments and understanding of VPN solutions, MPLS, and enterprise network equipment like routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory
- Networking and Virtualization expertise With Oracle VM, VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V
- Background in Oracle on-premise technology products, especially in the area of Oracle Middleware (Weblogic, SOA, BPM), or database (RAC, Data Guard, Golden Gate)
- Analysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle products deployment in OCI.
- Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients’ internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployments for Oracle Cloud technology.
- OCI knowledge/ certification is preferred.
- Experience in Multi-cloud architectures, PaaS service connectivity is highly desirable.
- Experience with physical networking, understanding routing, firewalls etc is highly desirable
- Open to work in 24/7 shifts.
- Good Educational Background is a must.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
As a Senior Advanced Services Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.
