Role

This opportunity is ideal for someone with multi-domain MI/BI product development experience and knowledge in VBA, Python, SQL and automation technologies. This opportunity will be building on your existing knowledge of working with rational databases, creating new tools and UI based reporting dashboards.

Business Function

EQ India Operations team work closely with the EQ Group functions across UK, US and Amsterdam to provide operations support to Shareholder Solutions, Pensions Solutions, Investment Services, Employee Benefit Solutions, KYC Operations, Customer Experience Centre, Reconciliations, and Innovation. This service is delivered from our offices in India based out of Chennai and Bangalore.

Core Duties And Responsibilities

• Create documented VBA Macro tools as per the user requirements and ensure that highest quality is maintained in creation.
• Develop tools and reporting dashboard using Python, VBA, SQL & Power BI.
• Develop reports and boards from a detailed technical specification collected from the product stakeholder.
• Work collaboratively withdevelopers across multiple teams, solution architects and product stakeholders.
• Understand and follow the agile scrum development cycle to build new and maintain existing features and functionality for our products.
• Work closely with various business within EQ Group to create automated tools to eliminate the repeated/manual high-risk tasks.
• Expand current technical knowledge through ongoing training to support rapidly changing technology, always keen to learn new technologies.
• Collaborates with business users and data analysts to understand complex requirements that may extend beyond EQ Boardroom processes and systems.
  
  

The candidate should demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

• Minimum of 3+ years of applications programming experience in the Information Systems.
• Expect in advance Excel and other Microsoft office products.
• Should have experience in creating VBA Macros tools to solve complex business problems.
• Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one desktop/web frameworks (such as Django, Flask, Pandas, etc.).
• Knowledge in advanced SQL and Access Database is essential.
• Experience of report building in tableau or Power BI, or the desire to upskill in this area.
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries and event-driven programming in Python.
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
• Good understanding of server-side python libraries and languages.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and decision making skills.
• Good communication, stakeholder management and relationship skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment, identifying priorities and responding to tasks.
• B.S or Engineering Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant field.
