Job Summary
The Oracle Functional Lead for Procurement and SCM will serve as a subject matter expert and lead functional consultant for all initiatives related to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (Cloud SCM) within the Order Management and Inventory Module in Supply Chain Management domains. This individual will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and support of Oracle solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. The role requires extensive hands-on experience in Fusion SCM/Order Management modules, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Leadership & Strategy:
- Act as the primary functional expert for Oracle Order management and SCM modules in Fusion Cloud platforms.
- Lead the analysis of current business processes ("as-is") and design future-state processes ("to-be") that leverage Oracle's capabilities for optimized efficiency and best practices.
- Provide strategic guidance on Oracle fusion Order Managment and SCM functionalities for new implementations, and ongoing enhancements, considering future Fusion Cloud roadmaps.
- Mentor and guide junior functional consultants and business users on Oracle SCM principles and system usage.
- Requirements Gathering & Solution Design:
- Conduct in-depth workshops and interviews with business stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, Manufacturing) to gather and document comprehensive functional requirements.
- Perform detailed gap analysis between business requirements and Oracle EBS/Fusion standard functionalities, proposing viable solutions (configurations, extensions, integrations).
- Develop detailed functional design documents (FDDs), solution blueprints, and configuration workbooks for all Procurement and SCM modules.
- System Configuration & Implementation:
- Configure Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM/Order Management modules to meet documented business requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Inventory Management (Fusion): Item Master, Inventory Organizations, Sub inventories, Inventory Transactions, On-hand/Reservations, Costing, Physical/Cycle Counting.
- Order Management (Fusion): Order to Cash flow, Pricing.
- Collaborate with technical teams (developers, integration specialists) for RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) objects and data migration strategies for both EBS and Fusion.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Lead the development of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts (unit, system integration, UAT) for all SCM and Procurement functionalities.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, ensuring business validation and sign-off.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve defects, ensuring system stability and functional accuracy.
- Data Migration & Integration:
- Oversee data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities for Procurement and SCM data during migrations (e.g., from EBS to Fusion) or new system go-lives, using tools like FBDI/ADFdi (Fusion) or SQL Loader/API (EBS).
- Define functional requirements for integrations between Oracle SCM/Procurement and other internal/external systems.
- Training & Support:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and materials for end-users and super-users.
- Provide expert-level post-implementation support, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management for both EBS and Fusion environments.
- Manage service requests (SRs) with Oracle Support effectively.
- Documentation & Project Management:
- Ensure all functional designs, configurations, test results, and training materials are thoroughly documented and maintained.
- Participate in project planning, status reporting, and risk management, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
