Job Description for Oracle Developer -PL/SQL

Position Title: Software Engineer

• We require a Oracle Developer who is well experienced in SQL, & PL/SQL

Desired Skills & Experience Profile Requirements:

• Must be a graduate with IT background
• Experience of around 3-5 years in Oracle development tools – SQL, PL/SQL
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and execute complex assignments.
• Shipping domain knowledge would be a plus.
• DBA experience in SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL will be an added advantage.

• Be highly motivated and adaptive to changes.

Chennai candidates are preferred. Candidates willing to relocate to Chennai.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in discussions on New Development, Enhancements and conduct System Analysis and study.
• Gather user requirements for enhancements and customizations and demonstrate ability to analyse user requirements
• Understand and Translate user requirements to agreed product solution.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans
• Perform Unit & Integration testing and Coordinate UAT & rollout enhancements.
• Deliver the programs, according to the requirements within given timelines.
• Deliver proper and concise documentation of developments (Simple User Guide, Program Specs & Test Plan).
• Acquire / learn new technical knowledge on Oracle PL/SQL and suggest improvements in work.
• Demonstrate analytical capacity by identifying the root cause of the problems and offer alternative solutions to meet functional requirements
• Coordinate with Support Team in troubleshooting the issues highlighted by Users
• Revert findings / workarounds in reasonable turnaround time to assist support team in their investigation
• Strive for defect free deliveries – to minimize all post-release bugs.
• Tune the existing queries, PL/SQL code to optimise the performance of the application.
