Overview

Cloud Project Manager.

Role Overview : The Application Project Manager will lead cloud-based application migration and implementation projects from concept to delivery.

This role requires strong project management skills, technical understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Strategy : Develop detailed project plans for cloud migration and application deployment, define scope, set milestones, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
• Cloud-Specific Execution : Coordinate activities related to AWS/Azure services, including networking, security, compute, storage, and application hosting.
• Team Coordination & Leadership : Lead cross-functional teams (Cloud Architects, Developers, QA, Operations), delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
• Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Risk & Compliance : Identify risks related to cloud migration (security, cost, performance), develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Monitoring & Reporting : Track progress using cloud-native tools and project management platforms (Jira, MS Project), provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure all deliverables meet cloud best practices and security standards.
• Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, migration plans, and operational runbooks.
  
  

• Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience : 5+ years in IT Project Management, with at least 2 years in cloud migration or cloud application projects.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, TGW, Private CA, SFTP).
• Technical Knowledge : Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and application deployment models.
• Core Competencies : Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Soft Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Tools : Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project) and cloud monitoring tools.
  
  

• PMP, PRINCE2, or AWS/Azure Cloud Practitioner (or higher).
• Experience : Managing cloud migration projects (Lift-and-Shift, Re-hosting).
• Working with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
• Mindset : Customer-focused, adaptable to changing requirements, and proactive in problem-solving.
