About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using PHP 7.4+ and Composer.
2. Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications.
3. Implement and manage Gmail API (OAuth 2.0) and other third-party integrations.
4. Configure and maintain Nginx/PHP-FPM servers for deployment, scaling, and performance optimization.
5. Design and manage relational databases using MySQL/MariaDB.
6. Collaborate via Git for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
7. Ensure code quality, security, and adherence to backend best practices.
8. Support frontend and app teams with API integration and troubleshooting.
9. Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of new features.

Skills required:

1. Someone who can take ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision.

2. Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, libraries, and APIs.

3. Ability to write clean, structured, and well-commented code.

4. Strong understanding of logic-building and backend workflows.

5. Basic experience working with mobile app developers (Android/iOS).

6. Familiarity with JWT authentication and token-based sessions.

7. Understanding of cron jobs and background task scheduling.

8. Ability to test APIs using Postman/Thunder Client.

9. Should be comfortable learning DevOps basics for deployments.

10. Ability to troubleshoot integration issues between the app backend and frontend.

11. Should have a proactive, problem-solving mindset rather than task-pushing.

12. Good communication skills to clearly express issues and progress.
