Salary: ₹5 Lakhs/Annum

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST

Work Days: Monday to Friday, with work required on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PHP Developer to join our team in Kolkata. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our core web applications and systems. You will be a key player in turning technical requirements into robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions, working within a collaborative onsite environment. This is a hands-on development role focused on technical execution, problem-solving, and contributing directly to our product's success.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain high-quality PHP applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices (e.g., PSR standards, SOLID principles).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries (primarily MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Integrate with third-party APIs and build robust API endpoints for internal and external consumption.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes and tools.

Who You Are:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a PHP Developer.
• Strong proficiency in core PHP and extensive experience with at least one modern PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Expertise in working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including database design, optimization, and advanced querying.
• Experience with RESTful API design and consumption.
• Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Must be able to work onsite from our Kolkata office.

Interview Process:

• Round 1: Application Review + Technical Aptitude Screening: We review your resume and may ask you to complete a short online technical questionnaire or coding challenge.
• Round 2: Technical Deep-Dive Interview (Live): Discuss your experience with PHP frameworks, database design, API integrations, and problem-solving approaches. This may include live coding or whiteboarding.
• Round 3: System Design & Behavioral Interview: Focus on your ability to design scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and your approach to teamwork and collaboration.
• Round 4: Final Round with Leadership: Culture-fit check, discussion on long-term goals, and offer discussion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 per year
