Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated PHP Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of web development fundamentals using PHP, along with exposure to both front-end and back-end technologies. A) Application Development:
1. Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and popular frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
2. Implement responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
B) Database Management:
1. Design and manage relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
2. Optimize database performance through effective data modeling and query optimization.
C) API Development:
1. Create and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end services.
2. Integrate third-party APIs and services as required.
D) Code Review and Quality Assurance:
1) Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
2) Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability and performance.
E) Collaboration:
1. Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
F) Continuous Improvement:
1) Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually enhance skills and application performance.
2) Suggest improvements to the development process and software architecture.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of PHP fundamentals and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Basic Knowledge of at least PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter)
- Familiarity with using XAMPP/LAMP/WAMP stacks for local development.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery).
- Understanding of how to interact with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Understanding of web application security best practices.
- Ability to debug and test basic PHP scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
· Basic exposure to containerization tools like Docker and an introductory understanding of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) through coursework, personal projects, or online training.
· Introductory knowledge of front-end frameworks like Angular or Vue.js beyond basic JavaScript and HTML.
· Understanding of fundamental DevOps concepts and awareness of CI/CD pipelines.
· Experience working in Agile-like environments through academic projects, hackathons, or internships (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
· Basic proficiency in additional programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
· Awareness of software testing principles and familiarity with tools like PyTest or Selenium (academic or project-based experience).
· Ability to write basic technical documentation, readme files, and setup guides for projects.
