Role Overview
EvolveSocially is seeking a talented PHP Laravel Website Developer to join our growing tech team. This role requires strong expertise in backend development, API integrations, and web application architecture using Laravel. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that empower social change and drive engagement on our platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using PHP Laravel framework.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Design and implement efficient RESTful APIs for internal and third-party integrations.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and Laravel updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (1+ years) developing websites and applications with PHP and Laravel.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git).
- Knowledge of working with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with deployment and cloud infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.) is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience building social platforms or community-driven applications.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and DevOps processes.
- Prior contributions to open-source Laravel projects.
