About the job:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PLSQL queries, procedures, functions, and triggers for banking systems and applications.
• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize database queries and improve performance, ensuring high efficiency in handling large volumes of transactional data.
• Implement database enhancements and changes to support new banking features, products, or regulatory requirements.
• Perform data analysis and troubleshooting of issues related to database performance, data integrity, and security.
• Develop and maintain documentation for PLSQL code and database processes.
• Work with database administrators (DBAs) to ensure optimal database performance and ensure all banking system requirements are met.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in PLSQL development and the banking sector.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy standards, and security protocols.
• Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with other developers to ensure best practices are followed.
• Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and production deployments
• Experience with data migration, data integration, and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of Java, .NET, or other programming languages for integration with backend systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with cloud-based databases and data storage solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4years of experience as a PLSQL Developer, with a strong focus on the banking or financial services domain.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing PLSQL code (queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers) in Oracle databases.
• Strong knowledge of banking applications, core banking systems, payment processing, and financial transactions.
• Solid understanding of banking regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Experience working with large-scale, high-transactional databases and data warehouses.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and collaborative development platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of banking-specific software/tools like Finacle, Temenos, or other core banking platforms is a plus.
