About the job:
Key responsibilities:
1. Provide first line and second line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, handheld devices, and production terminals.
2. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues raised by plant users.
3. Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, industrial applications, and security software.
4. Support MES, SCADA, HMI interfaces, SAP or ERP access, and shop floor automation systems.
5. Troubleshoot connectivity between OT systems and IT infrastructure.
6. Manage LAN, WAN, Wi Fi access points, switches, CCTV systems, access control systems, and IP telephony.
7. Coordinate with central IT teams for firewall policies and network security.
8. Perform preventive maintenance across plant IT systems and infrastructure.
9. Maintain asset inventory, AMC records, and compliance documentation.
10. Support IT audits, data backups, antivirus deployment, and patch compliance activities.
11. Provide technical guidance and basic training to plant employees.
12. Coordinate with vendors for servicing, replacements, and maintenance contracts.

Other Requirements:
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field required.
- 2. 2 to 5 years of IT support experience preferred, especially in manufacturing plants.
- 3. Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Active Directory user management.
- 4. Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN.
- 5. Experience with OT and IT integration preferred.
- 6. Exposure to industrial devices like barcode systems and production terminals.
- 7. Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems required.
- 8. Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft MCP preferred.
- 9. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize issues effectively.
