Principal QA Engineer

Overview

Panzura is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Architect to join our engineering team to work on our NextGen AI governance platform. As a SQA Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and security of our AI platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing effective QA strategies, developing automation frameworks, and conducting comprehensive testing across Backend, Frontend & Database services, Rest APIs, AI Agents and their related use cases. Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation framework development, automation testing, performance testing, AI agent, and API testing.
• Ability to design test cases for non-deterministic behaviour and test adaptive systems that evolve over time.
• Skills in preparing and validating training and test datasets, understanding data drift, model accuracy, and performance metrics.
• Proficiency with AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Python).
• Networking knowledge, DNS, DHCP, basic routing.
• Ability to simulate real-world scenarios and user interactions for AI agents.
• Experience in validating AI outputs against expected results, including edge cases and bias detection.
• Hand on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating AI testing into DevOps workflows.
• Hands on experience on testing of the distributed Cloud based filesystem using storage protocols such as SMB, NFS, iSCSI and storage use cases, including data consistency, availability, I/O performance, snapshots, encryption, quotas, mirroring, and replication.
• Proficiency with testing chatbots, virtual assistants, or Copilot-like systems.
• Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.

Job Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products across backend, frontend, database services and AI agent testing etc
• Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like python, playwright or similar frameworks
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure optimal system performance
• API Testing: Test RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration with various frontend and third-party applications
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira or similar
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for test plans, test cases, and other relevant areas. Also review the technical documentation for the product
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to the overall success of the team
