Project Overview:

Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. Bechtel has been identified as one of the EPCM contractor for outside battery limits (OSBL) at both Dahej and Nagothane and our involvement will help maximize the operational efficiency of existing and new utilities and infrastructure.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide IT operational/technical project support. You will define the IT infrastructure, network, and communication requirements for site offices, implement and support hardware deployments, and evaluate new software upgrades and enhancements. Your work will ensure information technology is tailored to the project, driving successful outcomes and client satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides IT operational/technical support on small to medium scale projects and/or acts as a lead for a small team
• Implements and supports IT hardware deployments and network infrastructure systems following and adhering to Corporate, GBU and Project IT procedures, standards, and security requirements
• Builds and updates the standard GBU software portfolio with GBU functional and corporate input
• Participates in the development of the standard GBU processes, policies, and procedures
• Communicate standard IS&T services to the project for hardware, software, and communications.
• Participates in IS&T and automation/IM Planning for proposals, studies, and projects
• Maintain accurate and timely asset management and inventory control of computer hardware and software.
• Leads requirements reviews with functions and other business stakeholders.
• Develops moderately complex IT reports, dashboards and automates workflows
• Provides metrics for IS&T governance compliance.
• Adhere to Bechtel’s safety program as it relates to Project IT systems
• Develops and implements the IT portion of the project closeout plan
• Travel to jobsites for short term project support or possibly for long term project assignments as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires BE / B. Tech / MCA or equivalent Scientific or Engineering Degree with 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network, infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures, and planning and implementing disaster prevention and recovery
• Ability to organize and deliver presentations to clearly communicate to others.
• Ability to work with customers to understand their requirements and expectations by asking questions and listening.
• Communication and interpersonal skills that enables both independent and/or team approach to assigned technical work tasks
• Work as part of a collaborative team and can perform independently when required to get the job completed
• Ability to identify, track, escalate and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems and take responsibility for the resolution of service problems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
