Python Developer

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, efficient backend services using Python.
• Architect and maintain robust RESTful APIs following best practices in design and security.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot complex issues across backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, frontend, QA, and product.
• Manage database design and integration with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
• Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD efforts; ensure smooth deployment and versioning.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, architecture reviews, and technical discussions.
• Document system architecture, data flows, and critical backend components.

Requirements (Qualifications/Experience/Competencies)

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and SDLC.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Proficient with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with asynchronous programming (e.g., asyncio, Celery).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to support API integration.
• Experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests (pytest, unittest).
