Python Developer (Performance Optimization Focus)

Overview

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with 3–5 years of experience, who has a strong focus
on performance optimization and system efficiency. The ideal candidate should be capable of
identifying bottlenecks, improving application performance, and working in a Linux-based
environment.

Key Responsibilities
● Analyze and identify performance bottlenecks in existing systems and applications
● Optimize code, queries, and system architecture for better efficiency and scalability
● Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python applications
● Work with large datasets and improve processing performance
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and speed
● Monitor system performance and implement improvements proactively
● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Required Skills & Qualifications
● 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Python development
● Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques
● Experience with debugging and profiling tools
● Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
● Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development
● Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Linux & System Knowledge (Must-Have)
● Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
● Basic command-line proficiency, including:
○ Editing files (e.g., vi/nano)
○ Managing file permissions (chmod, chown)
○ Downloading files via terminal (wget, curl)
○ Basic file and directory operations

Basic Python Knowledge Expectations (Interview Scope)
● Writing simple scripts and functions
● String manipulation and data handling
● Example: Writing a program to count words in a file/string

Good to Have
● Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or tools
● Experience with performance optimization in data-heavy or distributed systems
● Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
