About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Data Analyst with strong experience in testing data pipelines, SQL models, and DBT (Data Build Tool). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity across our ETL/ELT processes and data governance Responsibilities :
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Data Analyst with strong experience in testing data pipelines, SQL models, and DBT (Data Build Tool). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity across our ETL/ELT processes and data governance Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data models and pipelines built using DBT.
- Conduct thorough data validation across SQL models and end-to-end data workflows to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Document and manage detailed test cases, user scenarios, and test artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies by validating metadata using tools like Collibra.
- Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring resolution and continuous improvement in data processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and participate in regression testing of data Skills & Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in software/data quality assurance with a focus on data platforms and testing cycles.
- Hands-on expertise with DBT (Data Build Tool) and validation of SQL-based data models.
- Strong SQL proficiency for querying, validating, and testing data transformations.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Collibra or similar metadata management and data governance tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities to collaborate across cross-functional to Have :
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Knowledge of Python for data testing automation.
