QA Engineer

Role Summary:

As We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our growing product team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites for our product, ensuring the highest levels of reliability, performance, and stability. You will work closely with developers, security analysts, DevOps, and QA teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll also contribute to product analysis, user story validation, and ensure the highest quality user experience for our clients. You are expected to be the customer advocate.

Mandatory Skill Sets/Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in QA or test automation, preferably in cybersecurity products.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, Robot Framework).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, or similar platforms.
• Experience with basic SQL and API testing is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend automation.
• Experience in performance/load testing and security testing automation.
• Exposure to cyber security and/or compliance, risk related platforms.
• Experience working in a startup or product-focused environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and execute end to end manual and automated test cases for new product features, releases, and bug fixes based on product requirements and user stories.
• Develop, maintain and execute test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform automated regression, performance, and stress testing.
• Collaborate with product management and development teams to understand product requirements and security use cases to ensure accuracy, usability, reliability, stability, and functionality.
• Integrate test automation with code repositories, bug tracking tools, and test management systems.
• Investigate test failures, file defect reports, track their resolution, support debugging efforts, and collaborate with developers for timely fixes.
• Ensure test coverage for security patching, and product use case scenarios.
• Contribute to defining product requirements by sharing QA-driven insights and feedback.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and product backlog discussions.
• Document testing outcomes and preparing test reports for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless integration testing across different modules of the product.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Work on customer reported issues along with product teams to identify test escape scenarios, take mitigation actions to improve the test coverage.
