Responsibilities

1) Manual Testing Execution

• Perform functional, UI, regression, and integration testing for new and existing features.
• Conduct API testing using Postman to validate endpoints and payloads.
• Understanding the product requirements and Identifying edge cases and validating error handling.

2) Test Documentation

• Write, execute, and maintain clear manual test cases with expected outcomes.
• Maintain Excel-based trackers for test execution results, defects, and coverage.

3) Defect Tracking & Reporting

• Log, track, and retest bugs in Jira with complete reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity levels.
• Work closely with developers & product managers to clarify bugs, discuss fixes, and re-verify changes.

4) Quality Process Contribution

• Suggest improvements to manual testing workflows and test coverage.
• Participate in requirement reviews to proactively identify possible problem areas.

5) Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Join daily tech standup & sprint planning and review meetings discussions to understand acceptance criteria.
• Communicate clearly about risks, blockers, and release readiness of features/product.
• Improve Sanity Testing turn around time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering, or a related branch.
• 1+ year of experience in manual web application testing.
• Hands-on experience with Jira for bug tracking.
• Proficiency in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experienced in designing and executing API tests, as well as verifying the end-to-end functionality of backend and frontend components.
• Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, sanity, exploratory).
• Excellent attention to detail, structured thinking, and ownership mindset.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, startup environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.
• Basic knowledge of automation concepts (Selenium) – for future growth.
• Awareness of database querying (MySQL/MongoDB basics) for validation.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues required.
