QA Engineer

Overview

****General Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Manual/Automationn QA Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing techniques and a solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our applications through rigorous testing and defect tracking. SQL skillset with any RDBMS is a must for this position. As a secondary skillset, we are looking for an engineer with good API testing experience.

Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
· Conduct thorough manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
· Create SQL queries for data testing and make sure data quality is as per business expectations.
· Design automated test cases for API by using RestAssured and create test data for both lower and production environments.
· Automation code maintenance, update by using one code repository.
· Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tracking tools such as JIRA.
· Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
· Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and user story grooming to provide QA perspective.
· Perform UI/UX validation to ensure the application meets user expectations and design guidelines.
· Maintain and update testing documentation to reflect the current state of the application and test coverage.
· Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users during UAT cycles.
· Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent behaviour across platforms.
Requirements:
· 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
· Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test life cycle, and defect life cycle.
· Working experience of SQL by using any RDBMS like MySQL, PostGreSQL or SQL Server.
· API testing automation by using RestAssured.
· Experience in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman is an added advantage.
· Any source code repository for maintaining the automation test code
· Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
· Proficient in using bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
· Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Ability to read and understand requirements, user stories, and technical documentation.
· Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
