- understand the end-to-end flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
- understand project documents, business demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases that serve as success criteria for user stories and epics
- set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms such as Desktop and Web, and build test scenarios and acceptance tests.
- investigate user problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports.
- handle technical communications and understand the customers' systems.
- work with deployment teams, resolving issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
- research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrade existing practices and processes.
- manage the final quality on production release
Your team
You’ll be working in the Lending Crew, as part of the Technology division in Pune. We provide our Financial Advisors and Credit Risk Officers with a wide range of technical solutions to support their businesses and improve our clients experience. As a QA Engineer, you’ll play an important role in building the next wave of our strategic Lending Target Architecture.
Your expertise
- 8+ years of experience of experience testing complex systems and business flows
- robust understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA and Defect Lifecycle
- ability to understand product objectives to create and execute test cases that serve as success criteria for user stories and epics
- experience automating test scripts for a full suite of Lending applications, using various tools like Java, Selenium Automation, Sikuli, Springboot, REST-Assured
- strong in Java programming
- experience identifying and creating test data for various scenarios and purposes
- exposure to test management tools (e.g. GitLab, Squash, JIRA, Quality Centre)
- experience building automation frameworks, such as POM based design TestNG framework
- working experience on various CI tools
- experience in Banking & Financial Markets
