What your day will look like

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications using

Playwright and TypeScript, using BDD principles;

• Develop and execute automated tests for mobile applications using Detox and
  
  

TypeScript with Gherkin syntax for test scenarios;

• Work closely with product owners, developers, and Manual QA team to define clear and
  
  

concise BDD scenarios written in Gherkin syntax;

• Deliver well-structured BDD scenarios to developers for API automation
  
  

implementation, providing guidance and support during integration;

• Collaborate with Automation QA team lead to define and meet weekly goals for
  
  

automation test coverage;

• Track and report automation progress and its alignment with sprint goals and
  
  

acceptance criteria;

• Creation and management of test data and test environments;
• Integrate BDD automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines for both web and mobile
  
  

applications;

• Analyse test failures and report defects with detailed information linking back to BDD
  
  

scenarios;

• Continuously evaluate and optimize the BDD frameworks, tools, and processes to
  
  

enhance efficiency and maintainability.

What you need to fulfill the role

Proficiency in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such

as Playwright (for web applications) and Detox (for mobile applications);

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for developing automation scripts;
• Experience with BDD methodologies and frameworks like Cucumber (TypeScript) or
  
  

SpecFlow (.NET);

• Expertise in integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience with setting up and managing test environments to support reliable
  
  

automation execution;

• Proficiency in working within Agile teams;
• Strong collaboration skills with developers, product owners, and other QAs;
• Ability to analyse automation test results and debug issues effectively;
• Focus on optimizing test scripts and frameworks for scalability and performance;
  
  

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
• 4+ years of experience in software test automation, with a focus on web and mobile
  
  

applications;

• Demonstrated expertise in using Playwright and Detox for automation testing;
• Excellent communication skills for documenting and explaining automation strategies
