QA Engineer , Software

Position Summary

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for firm products. Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing. Non-engineer roles that are primarily performing audits and tests of software products in accordance with established test plans and procedures and are not involved in the development of test plans should be matched Software Test Technician.

Job Summary

The person in this position is responsible for the quality and proper functionality of Light & Wonder systems, games and products. and ensure compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years experience in Software Testing.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on technical and functional specifications.
• Own end-to-end testing of assigned products and features, including regression, system, integration, and performance testing.
• Ensure product compliance with all technical and regulatory standards.
• Analyze test outcomes to identify root causes of defects and recommend effective, data-driven solutions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with development, product, and external certification bodies to triage and resolve issues
• Reproduce and troubleshoot field-reported bugs.
• Test and validate hardware/firmware
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test activities, test data, and outcomes
• Deliver regular and ad-hoc quality reports and risk assessments
  
  
  

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, )
• Experience with any test automation tools is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Working knowledge of communication protocols (EX: SAS or ASP or G2S or QCOM) is a plus.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages, scripting, test management tools and defect management tools will be preferred.
• Ability to work well in a dynamic environment with a diversity of professional people.
• Knowledge with prompt engineering is a plus
