Job Description
Primary Skill(s): Intermediate Testing / QA Engineer
Experience: 3-5 Years in Testing / QA – Manual with some exposure / understanding of Test Automation (not mandatory)
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual test cases across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Perform regression, functional, UI/UX, and integration testing.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to understand functionality and provide QA requisites.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in reviewing automation test results and understanding test scripts (where applicable).
- Contribute to continuous process improvement in the QA domain.
Qualification & Key Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with bug tracking and version control tools (e.g., Jira, Git).
- Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good to have skills
- Foundational knowledge of automation testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman (for API testing), etc.
- Exposure to scripting or coding concepts (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of API testing or database testing (SQL).
Working Hours: 2 PM – 11 PM IST [~4.30 AM ET – 1.30 PM ET].
