About the job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Manual Tester to join our product and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through thorough manual testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early and deliver a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform various types of testing, including: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Sanity Testing, Cross-browser & Cross-platform Testing, Exploratory Testing
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Collaborate with developers to reproduce, validate, and resolve defects.
Validate bug fixes and perform retesting as needed.
Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Provide clear testing reports, documentation, and status updates.
Continuously contribute ideas to improve product quality and testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing.
- Experience writing and executing detailed test cases.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Knowledge of database concepts and ability to run basic SQL queries (nice to have).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience testing web, mobile, or SaaS applications.
- Basic understanding of APIs and Postman.
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
