About Us

Usedbookr is an innovative platform that buys and sells new and used books online and at physical book fairs. Our system handles ISBN scanning, inventory management, order processing, and category-based pricing. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester (QA) to help ensure the functionality, stability, and reliability of our web and internal tools.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

Understand website and billing system requirements.

Create, maintain, and execute test cases for desktop, mobile, and web applications.

Conduct manual testing of new features and regression testing of existing features.

Identify, document, and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce.

Create and maintain a checklist of critical features to be tested after every features deployment.

Automation & Tools

Write basic automated test scripts using Python or other relevant tools (preferred).

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain well-structured documentation for test plans, bug logs, and release notes.

Document test workflows and functionality dependencies for better coverage.

Coordination & Communication

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers for smooth and timely releases.

Prioritize and expedite tasks based on deadlines and team availability.

Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning meetings.

Usability Feedback & Improvements

Suggest UI/UX improvements based on usability testing.

Share ideas to improve QA processes and team workflows.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing (preferably in e-commerce or inventory management systems)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Understanding of software development and QA life cycle

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and estimating test efforts

Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, SQL, Python,PHP Laravel, React JS, APIs integration)

Comfortable with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Jira (or similar project management tools)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus: Experience with automation or scripting (Python preferred)
