Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:

As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will oversee a dedicated team of quality engineers, guiding them through the complexities of multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality applications. You will leverage your business and functional knowledge to craft comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring that quality processes and methodologies are effectively applied throughout the application lifecycle. By defining and implementing key metrics, you will manage and assess the testing process, focusing on test execution and defect resolution to drive continuous improvement and excellence in quality assurance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME.
• Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in quality engineering.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Strong understanding of:

• Rating calculation validation
• Risk factors and Discount validation
• Proration logic
  
  
  

Experience in:

• Hands-on testing in Guidewire PolicyCenter
• High quality testcase preparation using test matrix
• Preparing Testcases, Test Plan and Test Cycle in Jira
• Boundary testing (min/max premium)
• Effective date testing
• Regression testing after rate changes
• Sanity testing
  
  
  

Testing across:

• Submission
• Quote, Bind, Issue
• Endorsements
• Cancellation/Reinstatement impact on premium
• Rewrite and Renewal
  
  
  

Root cause analysis for:

• Incorrect premium
• Wrong rate version applied
• Override issues
  
  
  

Understanding of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel (premium validation sheets)

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter QA.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
