About the job:
Key Responsibilities:1. Develop and maintain robotics software using Python and C++ in ROS 2 for core system architecture, node creation, and lifecycle management.
2. Implement motion planning, trajectory generation, and inverse kinematics using MoveIt 2 for industrial robotic applications.
3. Design and integrate Digital Twin environments using Gazebo and RViz for simulation, testing, and validation of industrial robots.
4. Implement and manage ROS Control frameworks for controller management and hardware resource allocation.
5. Develop and maintain HAL and hardware resource managers to interface with various robotic components and sensors.
6. Work on CAN CiA402 communication protocols for robust real-time communication between robot controllers and peripherals.
7. Build and deploy robotic applications, including ROS 2 lifecycle node creation for managing robot states and behaviours.
8. Integrate APIs of ROS 2 and MoveIt 2 with the UI team into industrial applications.
9. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver robust and scalable robotic systems.
10. Test, debug, and optimize robotic software on real hardware platforms.

1. Excellent programming skills in Python and C++ in a Linux environment.
Strong hands-on experience with ROS 2 node creation, lifecycle management, and system architecture.
2. Proficiency in trajectory planning and inverse kinematics using MoveIt 2.
3. Experience building and managing Digital Twins with Gazebo and RViz.
4. In-depth knowledge of ROS Control, including controller management and resource allocation.
5. Hands-on experience with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development and hardware resource managers.
6. Experience with containerising applications using Docker for robust deployment.
7. Familiarity with CAN CiA402 protocol for industrial robot communication.
8. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in real-time robotic applications.
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
10. 1+ years of hands-on experience with robotic platforms such as robotic arms or cobots.
11. Experience with ROS-based frameworks and real-world deployment of robotic systems.
12. Familiarity with industrial automation standards and protocols.
