Responsibilities
Manage and execute Salesforce deployments using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and tools like Gearset and SFDX CLI.
Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
Handle source and package-based deployments, including metadata components like Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Objects, Profiles, and Custom Labels.
Monitor and resolve merge conflicts, conduct branch/org comparisons, and maintain pipeline health and Git branching hygiene.
Automate deployment processes including static code scans (SAST), test data setup, and environment management using YAML scripts and GitHub Actions.
Skills
Must have
1. 4-5 years of salesforce deployment experience through Github.
2. Extensive experience with Git, SFDX/SFDX CLI, VSCode, and other Salesforce deployment tools like Gearset.
3. Experience deploying Salesforce changes using Github and Github Actions
4. Experience with managing work in pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
5. Ability to design, implement, and manage Salesforce CI/CD pipelines
6. Understanding of Salesforce metadata deployment traits
Apex, Visualforce, LWC, Objects, Profiles, RecordTypes, Custom Labels, etc
7. Experience with source and package-based deployments
8. Experience managing merge conflicts, branch cleanup, branch/org compares, and pipeline health inspection
9. Ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and conflicts with developers and independently
10. Working understanding of Apex, Javascript, and XML
11. Deep knowledge of branching strategies, pull requests, commits, feature branching, and all Git related commands and functionality
12. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and pipelines
13. Experience with Github Actions and YAML scripting for Salesforce
14. Experience with static code scan tools (SAST) and automating code scans on deployment
15. Ability to manage environments and setup environment automation with test data
