Your future duties and responsibilities

Integration Architecture & Strategy

• Define end-to-end integration architecture for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise systems
• Establish integration standards, patterns, and best practices (A2A, B2B, E2E, event-driven)
• Select appropriate integration capabilities: CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors
  
  

Solution Design & Governance

• Lead integration design workshops and architecture reviews
• Create integration blueprints, high-level designs (HLD), and solution roadmaps
• Review and approve iFlow designs, mappings, and scripts developed by teams
• Ensure adherence to security, performance, and compliance standards
  
  

SAP CPI Technical Leadership

• Architect complex CPI iFlows using advanced routing, exception handling, reusability, and versioning
• Define error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring strategy
• Guide usage of Groovy scripts, value mappings, message mappings, and adapters
• Optimize integrations for throughput, latency, and scalability
  
  

Security & Connectivity Architecture

• Define authentication and authorization models (OAuth2, SAML, mTLS, Certificates)
• Architect Cloud Connector and network topology (DMZ, proxy, firewall rules)
• Govern certificate lifecycle, keystore, and credential management
• Ensure data protection and compliance (PII masking, encryption, GDPR)
  
  

Operations & AMS Enablement

• Define support models, SLAs, and escalation paths for CPI operations
• Enable proactive monitoring using alerts, KPIs, and dashboards
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for critical integration incidents
• Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities
  
  

Stakeholder & Program Leadership

• Act as single point of contact for integration architecture
• Collaborate with business, functional, security, and infrastructure teams
• Provide architecture inputs for RFPs, effort estimation, and sizing
• Mentor CPI developers and leads
  
  

Must-Have Skills:

Technical Core Skills

• SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite (mandatory)
• SAP BTP architecture
• REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, EDI
• Adapters: HTTP, SFTP, SOAP, IDoc, OData, AS2
• Groovy scripting (advanced)
• XML, JSON, XSLT
  
  

Architecture & Platform Knowledge

• SAP S/4HANA integration architecture
• SAP Cloud Connector
• API-led integration concepts
• Event-driven architecture (Event Mesh – preferred)
• Integration security architecture
  
  

• 8–12 years of integration experience
• 4–7+ years in SAP CPI / BTP integration
• Experience in large S/4HANA transformation programs
• Strong exposure to AMS + Implementation models
  
  

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Integration Suite
• SAP BTP Architect or Integration certification
