Senior Android Application Developer

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin/Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs (REST, JSON, etc.).
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Android development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries (Retrofit, Glide/Picasso, etc.).
• Familiarity with modern Android development tools and libraries (Jetpack components, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, etc.).
• Understanding of MVVM or other architectural patterns.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and team collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD tools and unit/UI testing frameworks.
• Published one or more Android apps on the Play Store.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
