Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Application Developer with strong expertise in C and C++ programming languages. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications, with preferred experience in Mainframe environments. The role requires working in Agile teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in C and C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine software requirements.
- Analyze existing software for improvements and participate in architectural reviews.
- Integrate with and maintain systems on Mainframe platforms (z/OS, COBOL, JCL) as needed.
- Apply Agile methodologies to plan, deliver, and continuously improve features and applications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
- Create and maintain documentation of systems, processes, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with C and C++ in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Experience with debugging tools, compilers, and memory management in C/C++.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, or experience with z/OS operating systems.
- Understanding of legacy system modernization and integration strategies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell is a plus.
