Job Description

Job Summary

This position provides input, support, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. This position provides input to applications development project plans and integrations. He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. He/She provides input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Proficiency Skills: C/C++ Programming on Linux: Expertise in developing executable programs using C/C++ with integrated Oracle ProC/ProC++ components, specifically on the Linux platform (Windows experience not applicable).
• Linux Development Environment:
• Skilled in using the vi editor for code editing and configuration.
• Proficient in Linux shell scripting for automation and task management.
• Experience with Linux job scheduling tools (e.g., cron, at).
• Comfortable executing and composing inline Linux commands for system operations.
• Regular use of the Linux command line interface for development and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to debug C/C++ code within the Linux environment using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Oracle PL/SQL: Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL is expected. Candidates with advanced proficiency in Oracle ProC/ProC++ are presumed to possess solid PL/SQL knowledge.
