- Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with portfolio managers, investment analysts, and other stakeholders
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and develop communication strategies
- Document and analyze current state performance attribution processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements for performance attribution systems
- Create comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
- Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate requirements validation and sign-off processes
- Process Analysis & Design
- Map current state business processes related to performance attribution
- Design future state processes that optimize efficiency and accuracy
- Identify automation opportunities and workflow improvements
- Develop process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Conduct gap analysis between current and desired state
- Data Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze portfolio data, benchmark data, and attribution methodologies
- Work with data teams to define data requirements and quality standards
- Validate data mapping and transformation rules
- Support development of attribution calculation logic and algorithms
- Ensure data lineage and audit trail requirements are met
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
- Support system integration testing and performance testing
- Validate business rules and calculation accuracy
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Project Support
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities
- Track and report on requirements delivery and testing progress
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues
- Support change management and training initiatives
- Assist with go-live planning and post-implementation support
- Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of business analysis experience in financial services
- 3+ years of experience with performance attribution or investment analytics projects
- Experience with portfolio management systems and investment data
- Deep understanding of investment management business processes
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
- Knowledge of asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives)
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks
- Experience with performance measurement standards and best practices
- Experience with investment management concepts (portfolios, benchmarks, securities)
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong team player who can work effectively across departments
