Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

• Lead development of interactive dashboards and executive reports using Power BI.
• Design and manage paginated reports using SSRS and Report Builder.
• Develop optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for enterprise reporting.
• Build advanced Excel models and automate reporting using VBA.
• Design and maintain robust data models using DAX in Power BI.
• Support reporting solutions within Microsoft Fabric (basic Lakehouse, Dataflow, or Workspace understanding).
• Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and define KPIs.
• Ensure data governance, validation, and reporting accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts and review their deliverables.
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and process optimization.
  
  
  

• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, Macros)
• VBA for report automation
• Strong SQL (Joins, Indexing, Query Optimization, Stored Procedures)
• Power BI (Data Modeling, DAX, Performance Optimization, Row-Level Security)
• Tabular Editor (Best practices analyzer, model optimization, calculation groups)
• DAX Studio (Query performance tuning, DAX debugging, server timings, query plans)
• Report Builder (Paginated Reporting)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
  
  

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, along with strong skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel automation, and related BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Consulting of supported functions (CDM�s, Field Service, etc).
• of using the right KPI�s to identify business opportunities and challenges and develop associated information needs.
• Manages and executes medium size Reporting projects including: Creation of technical and functional specifications associated with data architecture and data design.
• Data gathering, modelling and manipulation.
• Data set creation.
• Validation and testing.
• Communication with Stakeholders during the whole project.
• Works with the Database Administration team to design tables, queries, and packages to obtain information from and send information to different databases.
• Designs, develops, and implements dashboards and reports to facilitate data review and analysis.
• Monitors report and data availability and proactively communicates with clients on delays and issues.
  
  
  

• Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Intelligence.
• Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
