At Inchcape Shipping Services, our vision is to create a connected world where customers can trade successfully and make informed decisions in every port, everywhere. We achieve this by combining our worldwide infrastructure with local expertise, through our global network of more than 250 proprietary offices and a team of over 3,000 dedicated professionals. Our diverse customer base includes owners and charterers in the oil, cruise, container, and bulk commodity sectors, as well as naval, government, and intergovernmental organizations.
Job Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyse data related to DA data, Vendor costs ability, port operations, and market rates.
Develop dashboards and regular reports to support procurement decisions to identify and negotiate direct billing costs with vendors.
Track market rates in relation to agency costs, competitor activity in relation to handling charterers agent’s vs spot agents.
Analyze SOF data to benchmark vessel turn around of clients with the similar vessels.
Create models to identify opportunities to save on demurrage and vessel turn around.
Work closely with commercial, operations, and procurement departments to identify
data-driven opportunities.
Assist in digital transformation initiatives, such as integrating with external & internal
systems &data streams into analytics platforms.
Provide ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling for strategic and tactical decision making.
Maintain data integrity and governance standards across systems and reporting tools.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis or Modelling
Familiarity with maritime data sources (AIS, Clarkson, Lloyd’s List Intelligence, Baltic Exchange, etc.) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of charter party contracts, voyage economics, and bunker markets.
Understanding of fleet operations and marine logistics.
Experience working with geospatial/marine tracking data.
Working days: – (Monday - Friday) , flexible to work in any shift
