Senior Data Engineer

Join us in disrupting the global e-commerce AI analytics space. As one of our early team members, you will work closely with the founders, design and build high-impact user interfaces, and achieve rapid career growth in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL pipelines using tools like Temporal or Airflow
• Work with large datasets (multiple GBs and beyond), ensuring performance and reliability at scale
• Write optimized SQL queries for complex data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Build robust data processing systems using Java and/or Python, leveraging frameworks like Apache Spark
• Develop and manage real-time and batch data processing pipelines using Kafka and other streaming technologies
• Collaborate with product and analytics teams to ensure data availability and integrity
• Monitor and improve data quality, pipeline performance, and overall infrastructure health
• Stay updated with data engineering best practices, especially in fast-moving domains like quick commerce and e-commerce
• Work closely with the founders to define the data architecture and influence the company’s data strategy

Requirements:

• Strong experience working with large volumes of data and building high-performance data pipelines
• Proficient in SQL — ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Temporal
• Proficient in Java (required) and/or Python
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Spark
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar streaming platforms
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems
• (Optional) Prior experience in large-scale web/API scraping using proxies and rotating IPs
• Hunger to learn and solve tough, ambiguous data problems in a fast-paced startup environment
