Position Description: We are seeking a highly autonomous and strategic Senior Data Scientist to be a pivotal member of our global team, based in India. This isn't just a role for a model-builder; we're looking for a thought partner who can take ambiguous business challenges, shape them into concrete data science initiatives, and drive them from concept to impact. You will act as a key leader on the ground in India, working independently to uncover opportunities, influence strategy, and deliver solutions that create measurable value for the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Own & Execute: Take full ownership of the end-to-end data science lifecycle—from discovery and ideation through experimentation, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Shape the Roadmap: Partner with product and business leadership to identify high-impact opportunities. Proactively propose new initiatives and help define the data science roadmap.
• Bridge & Collaborate: Serve as the key data science liaison for our India-based stakeholders, effectively translating business needs into technical requirements and communicating progress and results across time zones.
• Translate Ambiguity into Action: Dive deep into complex business questions, conduct rigorous analysis, and build robust models to predict outcomes and prescribe actions.
• Communicate with Influence: Clearly articulate complex methodologies and findings to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives. Your insights will directly inform critical business decisions.
• Champion Best Practices: Establish and document standards for modeling, experimentation, and code quality to elevate the team's capabilities and ensure knowledge is shared globally.
• Mentor & Lead: While this is an individual contributor role, you will be expected to lead by example, mentor junior members, and elevate the technical bar for the team.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Proven Track Record: 5+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning, with a portfolio of projects where you have driven significant business impact from ambiguity to delivery.
• Technical Excellence: Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and common data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Pandas, XGBoost). Experience building and deploying models into production environments is essential.
• Product & Business Acumen: A strong product sense. You don't just answer the questions you're given; you ask the right questions and connect your work directly to business outcomes.

• Direct experience in Ad Tech, especially with real-time bidding, user acquisition, or marketing mix models.
