ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE:

The Data Science team at Swiggy builds innovative data science products that power unique customer experiences beginning from the time you launch the app until the order is delivered. This team builds state of the art Machine Learning/Deep Learning models at scale.

As a Senior Data Scientist in the Recommendations & Ranking team, you will work on problems that impact millions of customers.

What qualities are we looking for?

• Masters/PhD in Computer Science or related field

• A minimum of 6 years of industry experience with Data Science in product based organizations, including a minimum of 1 year experience in shipping recommendation/personalization models in high-throughput, low-latency settings

• Strong Machine Learning fundamentals along with deep experience with Deep Learning

• Strong problem formulation and solving skills.

• Prior experience with working on terabyte-scale data in a Spark environment is required.

• Prior experience with Python, SQL, TensorFlow/Pytorch is required and exposure to Scala is preferred.

• Good product thinking and ability to map customer-backward problems to ML-led solutions.
