About Job
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Platform) to lead the reliability, performance, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for consolidating our AWS environment, strengthening our CI/CD pipelines, establishing observability systems, and ensuring that our production infrastructure is stable, secure, and cost-efficient.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong ownership and deep experience in container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, incident response, and cloud security. You will serve as the platform owner and work closely with Backend, App, and Firmware teams to streamline releases and enhance developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
• Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Lead the migration from Docker-based deployments to Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using OpenTofu + Terragrunt and remove manual configurations.
• Set up GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux for declarative Kubernetes deployments.
• Oversee infrastructure architecture decisions, networking configurations, and environment separation.

Production Reliability & Monitoring

• Serve as primary owner for production systems, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Enhance observability using CloudWatch, Sentry, dashboards, metrics, and alerting.
• Conduct root-cause analysis, lead post-mortems, and drive reliability engineering practices.
• Implement SLOs and actively work to reduce MTTD and MTTR.

CI/CD & Developer Experience

• Improve GitHub Actions pipelines for faster builds, multi-environment deployments, and rollback mechanisms.
• Enhance developer tooling for debugging, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, onboarding guides, and platform best practices.

Security & Compliance

• Implement IAM policies, secrets management, and network security best practices.
• Ensure infrastructure alignment with PCI-DSS, SOC2, or ISO compliance requirements.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, container hardening, and audit logging.

Required Skills

• Strong experience (7–10 years) in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS production environments (EKS, ECS, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda).
• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes clusters in production (EKS preferred).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu + Terragrunt).
• Strong GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Experience with CloudWatch, Sentry, or similar monitoring stacks.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker.
• Strong understanding of access control, IAM, secrets management, and cloud security.
• Significant experience with production incident response and post-mortem processes.
• Demonstrated success in cloud cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• 7–10+ years of relevant industry experience, including ownership of production systems.
• Proven track record of designing, managing, and scaling cloud-native infrastructure.

Optional / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience specifically with OpenTofu and Terragrunt.
• Experience migrating from Docker-based deployments to Kubernetes.
• Background in FinTech, payments, or compliance-driven infrastructure.
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Experience building DevOps platforms in early-stage startups.
• Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or frameworks.
