We are seeking an experienced BI / Power BI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence solutions using Power BI within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in data visualization, DAX, and integration with enterprise data models. You will collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and interactive dashboards in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements.. Implement advanced DAX calculations and measures for complex analytics.
- Connect Power BI to Microsoft Fabric components (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory).
- Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement).
- Maintain documentation for BI solutions and provide training to business users.
- Stay updated on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features and recommend enhancements.
Required Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in BI development roles, with strong Power BI expertise.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide insights and support data-driven decision making.
- Connect with Azure Data Lake, Storage, SQL Database to gather data for analytics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory).
- Strong understanding of data integration concepts, and enterprise level reporting.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and visualization best practice.
- Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record in report/model optimization and performance tuning.
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer.
- Experience with enterprise-scale BI implementations.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for large datasets.
