Overview
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Support
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, network devices, and printers.
- Monitor and manage LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN, and firewalls.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and company policies are enforced.
- Perform routine backups and system updates.
- Manufacturing Systems & Compliance
- Support manufacturing and laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS, MES, SCADA, PLCs, BAS, and ERP).
- Ensure IT systems comply with GxP regulations and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Support and maintain validated systems, including documentation of changes and incident handling per SOPs.
- User Support & Training
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for on-site and remote users.
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Train employees on IT policies, SOPs, and secure system usage.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, software implementations, and system migrations.
- Collaborate with QA, Validation, and Production teams on IT-related compliance projects.
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- 3+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment (pharma or biotech preferred).
- Familiarity with GMP, GAMP5, and regulated environments (FDA, EMA).
- Experience supporting validated systems and documentation for audits/inspections.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Hands-on experience with network management and cybersecurity tools.
- Familiarity with SCADA/MES/ERP systems used in pharmaceutical settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
