ROLE SUMMARY
AGG is adding a Senior Guidewire Functional Business Analyst to support P&C line-of-business clients, acting as the key liaison between business and technology teams to deliver functional solutions and improve workflows. This role involves analyzing business processes, developing functional designs, and guiding change delivery on enterprise insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco, while managing stakeholder requirements and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Network and build strong connections to identify and drive new business opportunities.
- Act as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders to align project outcomes with overall technology and business strategy.
- Identify problems, opportunities, and methods to improve existing business processes and workflows.
- Develop business cases for proposed solutions, providing detailed analysis and documentation.
- Ensure the successful completion of all key activities, tasks, and deliverables during requirement analysis and mapping.
- Create functional design blueprints based on broad design concepts, business requirements, and user needs, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze defect-tracking reports for existing systems.
- Support continuous integration of system features and enhancements.
- Participate in evaluating costs, benefits, and process impact of updates, upgrades, or new components, documenting direct and indirect costs along with projected benefits.
- Resolve moderate to high complexity issues arising during the functional design process.
- Manage and reconcile conflicting requirements from various stakeholders.
- Design functional specifications for applications that address business and user requirements.
- Test the effectiveness of functional designs to ensure full alignment with business requirements.
- Share innovative ideas and solutions tailored to client needs to achieve technical objectives.

REQUIREMENTS
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in consulting, industry, or government organizations, with a strong track record in consulting highly desirable.
- Proven technology or functional change delivery experience on insurance platforms or re-platforming/migration projects in P&C Insurance, including Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Insurity, EIS, or similar platforms.
- Strong academic record with a third-level degree, preferably in Business, IT, or a related field.
- Core experience in the insurance industry, with proven change delivery experience for enterprise-level P&C Insurance customers.
- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-vendor environments.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, including client relationship management and proposal support.
- Industry, product, or platform certifications are a plus.
- Experience documenting ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ assessments for new or existing insurance products and platforms.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
PREFERRED
- Experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including creating User Stories and working closely with a Product Owner.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty in complex projects.
- Experience in process design and modeling.
- Familiarity with technology sourcing.
- Skilled in conducting workshops and interviews.
- Experience collaborating with Development and Testing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Exposure to Technology/Business Architecture reviews.
- Experience in Finance Transformation projects or programs.
