Senior IT Business Analyst - SAP SD

A Day in the Life

As a Senior IT Business Analyst on the Global Regions Pricing and Contracting IT team, the candidate will work directly with pricing and contracting global teams to build and evolve systems that maximize Medtronic’s ability to use data and analytics to set Medtronic’s pricing strategy, build segmented customer prices, and efficiently and accurately contract with our Medtronic customers, including hospital systems and integrated delivery networks.

As a business analyst, the candidate will work on both new and operational demand for SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), SP Rebates, and SAP Intermediate Document (Idoc) systems, Vendavo pricing and quoting platforms and interfaces between systems. The candidate will partner with business stakeholders and IT peers to identify requirements and user stories, write acceptance criteria, and test scenarios, and test the work.

In this specific role, the candidate will be seen as an expert in your craft, specifically in SAP sales & distribution, price management, rebates, and SAP’s connection to our other pricing and quoting systems such as Vendavo.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
• Work with data sets to define use cases to improve products, processes and/or services.
• Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.
• Drives business agenda during solution delivery process.
  
  
  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Functional Skills:

• Ability to analyze data and trends to develop recommendations to solve business problems.
• Knowledge of pricing, pricing rules, contracting concepts, rebates and related.
• Additional Skills: Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication.
  
  
  

Technology:

• Understanding of systems, software and technological concepts, Familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and familiarity or basic understanding with SAP S4.
