Overview:
This role involves deep troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT issues that do not follow standard runbooks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, be comfortable working with a wide array of SaaS applications, and possess experience with Azure as our identity provider. You will play a critical role in supporting our enterprise IT environment and mentoring L2 staff when necessary.

This role involves deep troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT issues that do not follow standard runbooks. You will play a critical role in supporting our enterprise IT environment and mentoring L2 staff when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose, investigate, and resolve escalated issues that go beyond standard runbook procedures, covering software, hardware, and network-related problems.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend permanent solutions.
- System & Application Expertise: Provide expert support for a complex environment that includes over 100 SaaS applications, ensuring seamless integration with our Azure-based iDp.
- Tool and Process Improvement: Develop, update, and maintain troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and documentation to improve response times and service quality.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with L2 technicians to guide and escalate issues as necessary; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize monitoring tools and analyze logs to proactively detect and resolve issues; generate reports on incident trends and system performance.
- Project Involvement: Participate in strategic IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and process enhancements.
- Advanced Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth experience troubleshooting complex IT environments (including Windows/Linux systems).
- Strong command of networking concepts (advanced TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, etc.).
- Proficiency with Azure, particularly in identity management and integration scenarios.
- Experience with SaaS Applications:
- Demonstrated experience supporting and integrating multiple SaaS applications in a dynamic environment.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with Jira service desk or similar ticketing systems.
- Ability to utilize log analysis and monitoring tools effectively.
- Programming/Scripting Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate troubleshooting and reporting is a plus.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities to solve non-standard issues.
- Proven track record of conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective resolutions.
- Communication & Leadership:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Experience mentoring or leading support teams is advantageous.
- Experience & Education:
- 6+ years of progressive IT support experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
