Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team and help design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend solutions for our client’s e-commerce platforms. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and robust backend services that drive the business forward. This role will involve using cutting-edge technologies like Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, and more.

You will be instrumental in guiding the development of backend services, optimizing solutions, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our applications, and maintaining best practices for architecture, code quality, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot while aligning with SOLID principles.
• Guide the integration of technologies like Kafka, MQ, and other messaging systems to optimize solutions for scalability and performance.
• Oversee database design and management, ensuring effective use of PostgreSQL, Oracle, or DynamoDB.
• Ensure backend services are highly performant, reliable, and scalable.
• Lead code reviews, testing efforts, and documentation to maintain a high standard of code quality.
• Implement containerization strategies using Docker to ensure consistent environments for development and deployment.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CDK, SAM, CloudFormation, or similar tools for GCP/Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and similar.
• Work closely with the team to solve complex problems, enhance system architecture, and ensure successful delivery of e-commerce solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level developers and promote best practices across the team.

Technical Skills Required:

• Kotlin: 5+ years of experience in Kotlin for backend development.
• Spring Boot: Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• RESTful APIs: Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Messaging Systems: Hands-on experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging systems.
• Database Technologies: Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, etc.).
• Cloud Services: Expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Docker: Strong experience using Docker for containerization.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Expertise in tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, SAM, CloudFormation, or equivalent for managing cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools for continuous integration and deployment.
• Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or similar.

Nice to Have:

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience in developing e-commerce platforms or large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in additional programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of security best practices for cloud-based applications and microservices.
