Senior Java Developer – GCP & Microservices

Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Java/JEE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud technologies (preferably GCP) to design and develop scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with product owners and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, while also mentoring team members and ensuring best coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain active collaboration with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead requirement gathering discussions and review designs with stakeholders.
• Own and manage backlog items and coordinate with team members to deliver features planned for each sprint.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot backend services and user interface components.
• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure scalability, performance, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide team members on technical design and development standards.
• Participate in architecture discussions and collaborative technical design sessions.
• Develop prototypes and implement features using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Conduct feature demonstrations for client stakeholders during sprint reviews.
• Ensure code quality using tools such as SONAR and CI/CD pipelines.
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• 4+ Yrs of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Java/JEE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Experience in building REST/SOAP web services.
• Good understanding of multi-tier architecture and enterprise application development.
• Experience with Hibernate, SQL, and database design.
• Familiarity with Tomcat and application servers (e.g., WebSphere).
• Experience with SONAR, Jenkins, and Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of AJAX and web application development.
• Experience in UML, application design/architecture, and design patterns.
  
  

• 1+ year of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience developing applications on GCP services.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application design and deployment.
