Role Overview

The SAP Minor Enhancements Technical Lead will be responsible for managing technical teams (onsite), enhancing, maintaining and supporting the SAP design and development process by developing new programs, resolving defects, providing assistance in solving end user problems, answering development, basis, integration and authorization related questions, and testing/validating development effort.

The Incumbent will work with a globally diverse set of teams which includes SAP Basis, Security, ABAP, SAP functional team members, Infrastructure team and other IT process partners providing support for existing and new initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with and advise the SAP Technical Architect on architectural topics and new applications / technologies to be integrated.

The candidate will lead some cross-functional projects, relied upon to answer complex questions, and assists with program-wide initiatives.

It is expected that the candidate will be able to both lead technical initiatives and be hands-on.

What Will You Do In This Role

  • Provides technical leadership, managing team members in Basis, Integration, Authorization and ABAP (onsite) through coaching and mentoring and perform peer reviews of the technical work of team members for quality assurance.
  • Strong team player, able to effectively lead and generate high results from the team.
  • Experiences in either design, development, coding, authorizations, integrations, basis for SAP landscapes
  • Interface with functional teams to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical program documentation of technical specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data.
  • Provide guidance on how to leverage SAP based specific technologies to create the most effective solutions in the assigned areas.
  • Formulate and define best practice programming standards that meet regulatory compliance requirements for Implementation, Support and Upgrade Projects.
  • Provide consulting on solutions including how to leverage standard SAP functionality and how to enable requirements while minimizing on-going maintenance costs in the assigned areas
  • Communicates effectively with project team members at different technical knowledge levels and across diverse geographical locations.
  • Work with service providers, prioritize project deliverable, and determine implementation approaches.
  • Work independently with a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Work with other team members and proactively share expertise to ensure team success.

What Should You Have

  • Minimum of 8-10 years prior experience
  • Prior customer-facing roles and management is preferred
  • BSc degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can establish and maintain credibility and a collaborative relationship.
  • Have a strong analytical skill set enjoys finding new solutions and efficiently delivering quality results.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently and in team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate an idea to system blueprint.
  • Ability to communicate an idea in business terms.
  • Ability to provide mentoring and coaching to other technical team members.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals industry is a plus.
  • Experience with at least few full cycle SAP implementation, including realization, go-live and post-go-live support with SAP S/4HANA experiences, preferred
  • Familiarity with upgrading large complex SAP ECC systems and experience in supporting complex system builds, transports reviews, system upgrade support including SPAU/SPDD resolution.
