Senior .NET Developer (WPF - Desktop Applications)

Location: Kushaiguda, Secundrabad, Telangana, India

Experience Level: 2-4 years

Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer with a strong background in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) desktop application development. You'll need at least four years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable desktop solutions. This role requires expertise in .NET 6-8, XAML, and relational database management systems, specifically PostgreSQL and SQLite. A working knowledge of Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL 4) and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Verification and Validation (V&V), are essential. Exposure to Railway Interlocking Systems is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality WPF desktop applications using .NET (6-8) and XAML.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, focusing on safety and reliability.

Work extensively with PostgreSQL and SQLite for data management.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.

Debug and resolve complex technical issues.

Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.

Strictly adhere to all phases of the SDLC, including Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.

Apply SIL 4 principles throughout the development process.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies.

(Preferable) Utilize knowledge of Railway Interlocking Systems for specialized applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

4+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong proficiency in .NET (6, 7, or 8) and C#. Expertise in XAML

Minimum 4 years of hands-on WPF desktop application development.

Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts with proven experience in PostgreSQL and SQLite.

Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.

Working knowledge of SIL 4 principles.

Strong understanding and practical experience with SDLC methodologies, including V&V processes.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration1 skills.

Preferred Skills2 & Experience:

Exposure to or understanding of Railway Interlocking Systems.

Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.

Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
